Personal Information Collection

When clients inquire about our services, they provide personal details such as their full name, phone number, and email address. These details are used to facilitate communication with our team via email or phone. We assure our clients that their information is securely stored and will not be shared with any third parties without their explicit consent.

Verification of Communications

Please note that any communication initiated outside of our official email address or phone number should be verified by contacting us through our primary email to ensure authenticity and security. Booking and Receipt Process Upon confirmation of a booking with a deposit, Drew Safaris will issue a receipt containing the client’s details. A copy of this receipt will be provided to the client, while the original is securely stored in our office until the client arrives for their booked services. At that time, the client will receive the original receipt, confirming all payments made.

Next of Kin Information

We kindly request that all clients provide contact information for at least one next of kin. This contact will only be reached in case of an emergency or upon the client’s explicit request.

Reservations and Bookings Policy

A confirmed booking requires a deposit to secure the client's commitment to the agreed itinerary. The deposit amount varies based on the chosen safari package:

  • Budget Safaris: 20% deposit, balance due upon arrival or safari start.
  • Mid-Range / Lodge Safaris: 30% deposit to confirm accommodations.
  • Private Safaris: 20% deposit required for transport, accommodation, and fees.

Cancellation Policy

  • General: For cancellations made more than 22 days prior to the safari departure date, written notice is required, and the deposit will be refunded minus any processed reservation charges, cancellation fees from hotels/lodges and transporters, and other relevant expenses. For cancellations received between 21 and 8 days before the tour starts, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total package cost will be charged. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the departure date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  • Budget Safaris: Cancellations are permitted, and 50% of the deposit paid will be refunded to the client.
  • Mid-Range Safaris: Due to commitments such as payments for lodges and safari tents, cancellations allow clients to either postpone the booking or receive a refund of 40% of the deposit paid.
  • Private Safaris: Refunds will be calculated based on the safari type. For budget-level private safaris, 50% of the deposit paid will be refunded. For lodge-based private safaris, the refund will be adjusted based on the amount already paid to secure lodges.
